The National Football League (NFL) is a professional American football league consisting of 32 teams divided into two conferences: the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). Here's a brief overview:

Structure - *

*Teams**: 32 teams split into two conferences (AFC and NFC), each with four divisions (North, South, East, West). -

**Season**: Consists of a regular season and playoffs, culminating in the Super Bowl.

Gameplay -

**Objective**:

Score more points than the opposing team by advancing the football into their end zone for touchdowns or kicking it through the goalposts for field goals. -

**Scoring**: -

**Touchdown (TD)**: 6 points, plus an opportunity for an extra point (1 point) or a two-point conversion. - **Field Goal (FG)**: 3 points. - **Safety**: 2 points.

Game Structure -

**Duration**: Four quarters of 15 minutes each, with a halftime break after the second quarter. -

**Teams**: Each team has an offense, defense, and special teams. -

**Play**: The offense has four downs to advance the ball 10 yards. If successful, they receive a new set of downs; if not, the ball is turned over to the opponent.

Key Events - **Regular Season**: 17 games per team over 18 weeks. -

**Playoffs**: Single-elimination tournament with 14 teams (7 from each conference). -

**Super Bowl**: The championship game played between the AFC and NFC champions, determining the NFL champion.
