How it works

The Scottish Premiership is the top tier of Scottish football, featuring 12 teams. It's like the main event in Scottish football, where the best clubs battle it out every season for the top prize—the league title.
The format:
The season runs from August to May (pretty standard). Each team plays every other team twice—once at home and once away. That gives us 38 matches for each team (12 teams × 2 games vs each other = 22 matches, plus 2 additional home/away rounds later).
Regular Season
- Each win is worth 3 points, a draw gives 1 point, and losing gets you 0.
- After all 12 teams have played 33 games (playing each other twice), the league splits into two halves:
